A life in international moving logistics

The forwarding company Wilhelm Rosebrock GmbH & Co.KG says goodbye to its Vice President Ronald Schmeling who is leaving into his well-deserved retirement.

Almost 35 years ago, Mr Schmeling’s career started in January 1986 at the company Rosebrock in Bremen.

His area of responsibility covered multiple departments within the group. The entire furniture transport and vehicle fleet including the Potsdam and Bonn branches fell into his area of responsibility, as well as the wide field of human resources. As a training manager, he worked intensively on the needs of the apprentices in the company. In all of the areas mentioned, he was always a very reliable contact for the entire team.

Due to his in-depth knowledge, Mr. Schmeling has earned an excellent reputation in the national moving industry. In May 1997 he was elected to the board of the FAMÖ (professional association furniture haulage and logistics) in Bremen.

In October 1997, the AMÖ (Federal Association of Furniture Forwarding and Logistics) appointed him as an expert for furniture forwarding at the Bremen District Court.

In July 2001, Mr. Schmeling was promoted to Vice President of the Rosebrock Group.

Thanks to his professional expertise, he was always available to help and advise colleagues. His high moral standards, his diplomatic character and always open mind as well as his sense for fairness make him the very valuable person he is. All this shows a quality of enormous impact in our fast-moving times. He has always stood up for the team and has built a lot of trust within the company.

We very much regret to release our highly esteemed colleague Mr. Schmeling into his well-deserved retirement. We are happy for him and wish him all the best for all the great years to come in his new life with lots of time for his family, friends and hobbies.
