Annual IAM conference & exposition: direct contact to international logistics partners

“Steve, we have a removal contract from Hamburg to Rio de Janeiro for the H….. family. The ship arrives 2 December. Can you take care of the further transport of the sea container from the port to the customer including unloading?”

These types of requests are part of the daily routine of Rosebrock’s International Department.

And they’re not just communicating with any random logistics company. The secure and punctual handling of the transport can only be guaranteed through the close personal contacts established over the years.

This is not our first contact with Steve – we have already held preliminary discussions regarding the requirements of a seamless import/export-cooperation from Hamburg to Rio, and vice versa. In addition to both of our companies being ISO certified, the majority of our logistics partners, just like Steve’s moving company, also hold FIDI – FAIM (Federation of International Furniture Removers) certificates. So when it comes to quality assurance of international removal services, we speak the same language.

Every year the Rosebrock specialists coordinate with Steve and his colleagues during the annual International Association of Movers (IAM) conference. During this year’s convention, held in Maryland, USA from 6 to 9 October, 1700 forwarding companies from 160 countries took part. During numerous meetings and interviews, Rosebrock’s delegation actively used the opportunity to further develop its palette of reliable and widely certified partners for international removals.

So when Mr. H’s two-year deployment to Rio is over and he and his family return to Germany, we will again coordinate their removal. Steve will visit their apartment, calculate the volume and order the sea container accordingly. In coordination with Rosebrock, he will organize packing material and the transport to port. We in turn will look after customs clearance, economical sea freight as well as offloading and further transport, so that the family can move back into their Hamburg home free of the stress of removals.
