Recently published figures from the German Federal Office of Statistics reveal that Poland is Germanys’ sixth most important trading partner.

As a new member of the German-Polish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK), Rosebrock is intensifying its networking activities in this region. With its almost 1,000 member companies, the German-Polish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Poland ) is not only the largest bilateral chamber in Poland, but also one of the largest German foreign trade chambers (AHK) in the world.

This removal comprised not only a full 20’ container shipped from Bremerhaven to Boston. The customer also required further furniture and personal effects – a total of 31 m3 of household goods - to be transported by air freight.

It took just 5 days from pick-up in Switzerland to collection after customs clearance at Boston Airport, after a flight from Amsterdam via London Heathrow.

International Forwarder Rosebrock Awards Christian Klar Power of Attorney

In April 2019, Mr. Christian Klar became an authorized executive with power of attorney at Rosebrock GmbH und Co. KG.

Mr. Klar qualified as a Commercial Assistant in Forwarding and Logistics Services at Rosebrock in 2010. He was awarded Honors by the Hermann-Leverenz-Stiftung (Bremen) for his outstanding grades.

Apart from activities in Financing, he initially took on responsibility for IT at the company. Subsequently, Mr. Klar continued his personal development and gained the qualification of Accountant from the Chamber of Commerce.
Now he is responsible for Finances within the management team of the Rosebrock Group. "What we value about Mr. Klar are not only his high specialist competence, but also his many personal strengths and professional skills. We're delighted to be able to give him additional responsibility by awarding him power of attorney," says Martin Sommer, the General Manager of Rosebrock.

A life in international transport logistics – logistics company Rosebrock wishes former Managing Director Ulrich Weichert all the best in his well-earned retirement

Almost 43 years ago, in August 1976, Ulrich Weichert started his vocational training at Rosebrock in Bremen. After national military service, he initially worked in the Accounts Department as an assistant to the Managing Director. His career continued in the commercial area, where he qualified as an accountant. In July 2001, the company shareholders appointed him to the post of Managing Director finance.

Mr. Weichert was involved in major milestones of the company’s development. They included the relocation to the GVZ Cargo Distribution Centre along with construction of the new Rosebrock headquarters, the development of the International Moving Department, foundation of the branch in Poland, and expansion into the business fields air and ocean freight for industrial customers as well as project forwarding.

Over the past years, Mr. Weichert ran the company together with his fellow Managing Director, Mr. Martin Sommer. Now he is handing over his duties as the Director of Financial Accounting to Christian Klar.

The management, shareholders and all employees of Rosebrock wish Mr. Weichert all the best for his retirement and thank him warmly for his many years of service.

FIATA (International Federation of Freight Forwarders Association), as international umbrella organization, provides uniform and binding standards as a guideline for its members. “As FIATA is represented in over 150 countries, we always have access to up-to-date information and can find the optimum solution for just about any customer requirement”, says Jörn Prieser, Head of International Removals Export at Rosebrock in Bremen. With the renewal of the company’s FIATA membership, Rosebrock’s traditionally excellent international relations are expanded even further and meet all the requirements of a modern international forwarding company.
