Founded at the turn of the century by Mr Wilhelm Rosebrock. The company began as a freight carrier based at Bremen’s goods yard. The main business at the time was transporting luggage by horse-drawn cart.
Mr Friedrich Wilhelm Rosebrock and Mr Richard Sommer joined the company. Innovative ideas were implemented by the new generation:
In the 1950s, Mr Richard Sommer continued his international activities in the USA. Through his global network, Rosebrock became a key provider of moving services tailored to the needs of US soldiers and their families. Each year, Richard Sommer attended the international HHGFAA (Household Goods Forwarder Association of America) conference. In 2009, he was inducted into the “Hall of Honour” for his outstanding contributions.
Joined HHGFAA, which was renamed IAM (International Association of Movers) in 2009.
Rosebrock became a shareholder of the confern moving companies headquartered in Mannheim.
The company expanded and relocated to the GVZ (Freight Village) Bremen.
Construction of a new 2,000 m² hall, new build and extension of an office building, and expansion of the overseas division.
Certification to ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 14001 (environmental management) and ISO 27001 (information security management).
With the establishment of its own international freight department (air and sea freight), Rosebrock transferred its logistics expertise from the private customer segment to global freight transport for corporate clients. With the opening of an office in Warsaw, Rosebrock also gained a local presence in Poland.
Rosebrock Bremen accredited as an IATA Cargo Agent.
Rosebrock's subsidiary Pein Spedition has established a new port handling operation based in Bremerhaven by taking over the employees and services of Lenz & Kara Logistik GmbH.
Return to FIDI and attainment of the FIDI FAIM Plus certification.
Rosebrock Warsaw accredited as an IATA Cargo Agent.
